How is my listing in the directory if I never added it?+
Operator aggregates public business data from Overture Maps, Google Places, state licensing boards, and review platforms. Every legitimate US business appears by default. Claiming just connects that existing record to you as the verified owner.
Is claiming actually free forever?+
Yes. Market Analyst, the tier that comes with claiming, is free forever. No trial, no credit card, no bait-and-switch. If we ever change Market Analyst pricing (we won't) you keep grandfathered access.
What if my business has multiple locations?+
Each physical location is claimed separately. One owner account can hold unlimited locations under Market Analyst free. Multi-location dashboards and unified briefs unlock on Autopilot.
What if I find a mistake in my listing?+
Once claimed, you can edit address, phone, hours, categories, photos, and description in the app. Changes push to Operator's public view immediately and sync out to the wider web within 24 hours.
Can I un-claim or delete my listing?+
Yes. Un-claim returns the listing to public view without deleting the underlying directory record. Full deletion of a publicly operating business is not supported. If your business is closed or sold, mark it as such in the app and it is updated accordingly.
What data do you have about me?+
Only what is public. Address, phone, hours, categories, reviews, photos that exist on the open web. We never scrape sensitive data, access your books, or touch anything that requires authentication. That all gets added later only if you upgrade to Autopilot and connect integrations yourself.
Does claiming affect my Google listing?+
No. Operator is completely independent from Google Business Profile. You still manage Google separately. If you connect Google via OAuth we will read review data to display in Operator, but we never modify your Google listing.
Will I get spam emails?+
